Esther was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in 2013, and moved to the US in 2015 to study Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University, where she graduated in 2018.
Esther used to be a shy and quiet, non-athletic person growing up. She now enjoys getting out of her comfort zone and doing hard things.
Esther loves nature and spending time in the mountains. She was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, which is surrounded by volcanoes. Colorado is home now.
Esther's formula to happiness includes sunshine, chocolate, tea, books, and spending time outside.
Esther understands that life is complicated and humans are complex. This is why she spends a lot of her time learning about different methods to approach mental health and general wellness.
Esther has offered mental health and general wellness workshops for six years. This picture shows Esther at the IAEAPE conference in Portland, Oregon in 2023 when she gave a workshop to fellow colleagues on how to get unstuck with clients, and how to make counseling for accessible to clients through writing and drawing.
Esther enjoys a dynamic lifestyle. Other than being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Esther is a fitness instructor, collaborates with the Renee Crown Wellness Institute at CU Boulder co-facilitating an 8 week Mindfulness Course to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to Staff and Faculty. Esther recently collaborated in a podcast regarding Police and relationships.
